Puddles

Puddles are so much fun. I guess they're not so much fun when you're trying to get to work and you step in a big puddle, but for a kid they are hours upon hours of fun. We had a bit of rain and after Mason splashed the heck outta the only puddle we could find in the driveway he seemed a little "down" so I filled the puddle back up with the hose and voila! Instant fun!
I also learned a new camera trick...holding down the clicky button thingy makes camera take many many pictures all at once....coooooooooooooooool

Sunny Spring Day

What a beautiful day. Here is Mason at a birthday party today (seems like the trend lately - birthday parties on saturday...I need a birthday party break!).

Chocolate for breakfast...

One of the good memories of Easter I will always have was being able to eat chocolate for breakfast. How awesome was that? Now that I'm an adult I can eat chocolate for breakfast whenever I want...it's just not as cool as it was when I was a kid!

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a mini Easter egg hunt at my aunt's cottage. Only a few little eggs but he was so excited. They were chocolate...his favourite food group!

My first post...

I always thought buying a decent camera would make me a great photographer. As soon as I could afford the camera of my dreams I would have that talent and right away everything would fall into place.
Now that I've had the camera for almost a month, I've come to realize it's not all that easy. I'm keeping this journal so one day I can look back and realize how much I've grown in photography.
I only wish my "model" didn't grow up so quickly and that he would stay still so I could get that perfect focus and clear image. He's quick...he's cute...and he's a new lesson for me everyday!
Today's shot was just a quick little snap I took on my mom's bed. One of the more decent ones I took today (the rest were mostly blurry). Still the cutest little face around though! -Nikki
